I have been following the build of the Splinter car and am really impressed with what you've accomplished so far. You said that after college that you were hoping to get a job in the auto design industry; I think with this car and the process of building it, the industry will beat a path right to your door. My question is have you had the time to get the car tested on a track and to get all the bugs out of it yet? If so, do you know when you will publish all the findings? I for one would love to know, and I think I'm not the only one out there. Another thing, with all the auto industry talking about renewable fuel for there cars, I think you've upped the ante by producing a renewable car, not just the fuel. Are there any plans on putting in a diesel engine in it, one that runs on bio-diesel made from french fry oil and switch grass? If you could put such an engine in the car, talk about building green! Anyway, this is a nice project you got going. Paul

I am presuming that if this ever makes it to the road, the question must be asked. Wouldn't the heat from the catalytic converters burn the car up? Of course I realize this is going to be a one-off but still....

Other than that, the concept is outstanding and shows what a little thinking "outside-the-box" can accomplish. Your prof(s) i.e thesis committee, better give you an superior grade for this. Great job Joe.

i just was thinking, you guys could make a pack that you can build at home. (prefab parts)
so "everybody" could build one.
the car realy looks great and you won't say at the first look on it that it is mostly wood.

my very compliments.

I do not see any provision for a radiator. Do you plan to air cool this engine?

Hey joe, you might want to check the web cams. Web came 1 doesn't work and Web cam 2 only gives half a picture.
